Reece Donnelly Announced as Ambassador for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland
Specialist disability charity, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland is delighted to announce Scottish entrepreneur, actor, and presenter Reece Donnelly as its newest Ambassador.
Reece has been involved with the charity for over a year and is now stepping in to increase his involvement to support all families helped by SBH Scotland. With a diverse career in the entertainment industry spanning projects such as Waterloo Road (BBC), appearing on the 17th season of The Apprentice (BBC) and launching his own business podcast “The Scottish CEO Show” he will be joining other high profile names such as Gordon Ramsay OBE and Paralympian Meggan Dawson Farrell in supporting the charity.
SBH Scotland provide a lifetime commitment of support, care, and vital information to children and families affected by spina bifida, hydrocephalus, and related conditions. Their dedicated support and clinical team work across Scotland to improve the quality of life for each baby born with the disabilities, advocating for their needs and working tirelessly to increase public awareness.
Upon accepting his role as Ambassador, Reece Donnelly said, “Stepping up as an Ambassador for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland has me buzzing with excitement! Over the past year, we've supported from afar with our Theatre School of Scotland flash mobs and performed at loads of key events. But guess what? It's time to fly right into the role as an ambassador and raise as much funds as possible for this amazing cause. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to meet some of the young people supported by this charity, and let me tell you, I can’t wait to do as much as I can!
He continued, “I’m ready to spread awareness of those facing challenges every day and take my fundraising game to superhero levels for them! Together we can make a difference for all the amazing young people and families who need our support more than ever at SBH Scotland.”
Lawrence Cowan, Chief Executive of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland, expressed his enthusiasm for Reece’s ambassadorship, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Reece as our Ambassador. Reece’s passion, energy, and dedication to making a positive difference align perfectly with our mission at SBH Scotland to empower all those born with these rare and complex disabilities to live life to the full. Reece’s commitment over the past year has already been invaluable, and we are excited to see how his increased involvement will inspire others.”
Reece’s ambassadorship is expected to bring a new level of visibility and support to the work of SBH Scotland, highlighting the charity’s commitment to providing outstanding care and support. He’ll also be announcing his first big campaign with them in the coming weeks…
