Wellbeing and Self-Management Services
We have expanded our wellbeing and self-management services so that our charity members can access new resources at home or on the go.
These resources focus on self-management techniques and encourage people to to look at all aspects of their health. These services are also complemented by the support offered through our family support team, Health and Wellbeing Nurse and Mental Health Counsellor.
Wellbeing App (myCarepod) - Funded by Scottish Government
We were grateful to receive funding from the Scottish Government under their Neurological care and support: framework for action 2020-2025 in Round 2 of this funding. This funding contributed to the development of key features of the app including a ‘Wellmometer’ where people can track their mood and a pain assessment monitor. Other features of the app include a health record and emergency summary for healthcare appointments and emergencies, educational resources and vital signs monitors. Another exciting feature is the internal messaging feature which allows people to contact their family support working and friends/family via the app. Read our funders report HERE. Find out more about the app here.
Online Hub Funded by Health and Social Care Alliance (Coming soon)
Over the last year we have been working on an online hub funded by the Health and Social Care Alliance via their Self-Management fund. Under this fund we are creating a variety of resources including workshops, self-management guides and the online hub mentioned here for our service users aged 35+. The online hub is a place to store the guides, links to workshops and other useful resources as well as news on what is happening with the charity. This will be available to service users from October 2022.
