Our Voices

In order to improve the future for all of our service users, we think it's important to listen to the lived experience of those whose lives are affected by spina bifida, hydrocephalus and related conditions.

As part of a project on 'Transition' we co-produced digital stories with service users of SBH Scotland. We discuss the issues and stories which hold significance to them and the impact these had on their lives.

SBH Scotland use the lived experience of service users as well as our own experiences and knowledge to discuss issues with healthcare, social work and education professionals as well as direct what research we should be doing on healthcare and wellbeing.

If you are affected by any of the issues within these stories please don't hesitate to email us or call us on 03455 211 300.

We thank all those involved for kindly sharing their stories with us.

More details and resources on moving from paediatric (childrens) healthcare to adult healthcare services can be found here.
