World Gaming Day

Saturday 22nd October 2022 is the planet's first World Gaming Day for charities and Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland are all signed up! We need you to help us raise vital funds whilst doing the thing you love the most - gaming! It's open to all so it doesn't matter what your favourite game is be it Fortnite, Call of Duty or PUBG through to Tetris, Candy Crush or Pac Man - we want you to play for charity.

Big bbbble Hat

Big Bobble Hat Giveaway! As an incentive we've joined up with the bobbletastic team at the Big Bobble Hats company to offer FREE hats to everyone who raises £50 or over*!

How can you get involved:

  1. Hold a Gaming Party - Forget coffee mornings - the gamers are coming through! Invite your friends round for an epic game session. Ask them each to pay a donation (we suggest £10 per person) to take part and you provide the snacks!
  2. Hold a Tournament with friends, work colleagues or family - why not ask your workplace if you can friends at a games arcadehold it in the office!
  3. Be a Streamer: Whether a seasoned professional streamer or someone just starting out. Ask your viewers to get involved and donate. Offer incentives along the way, get them to add to your playlist or perhaps you'll take donations to miss a shot? Branded overlays are available.
  4. Gaming Marathon: Set your timeframe (4hr, 12hr, 24hr, the weekend) and get sponsored for each hour you complete!
  5. LAN Party - Go old school and get the LAN network connected! A snacks and nintendo switch on tablereally fun twist on the gaming party.
  6. Create a Gaming Day Playlist - Create the soundtrack to your event. Once signed up you'll have access to a fundraising Spotify list. Create your playlist and ask friends and family to donate to have their song added to the list.
  7. Go Retro - Get out the old game boys or head on down to your local arcade for a day of duelling with friends.

To help you on your way, once you've registered, you'll have access to a range of printables to help your party/event go with a bang. Bunting, cake flags, logos, e-invites and branded overlays - we've got you covered.

World Gaming Day is open to all - Every £1 donated will have a huge impact on the families we support in Scotland. You can play a massive part in that lifeline support continuing now and into the future.
