Corporate Golf Day Tees Off with Great Success

A gleeful golfer exclaims happiness at a successful golf shotSBH Scotland is delighted to announce the tremendous success of its Annual Corporate Golf Day, held on Thursday, August 31st at the prestigious Dundonald Links in Ayrshire. This year's event raised an astonishing £13,000, making it a day of triumph both on and off the course.

Dundonald Links was a fantastic choice for the day; a superb course, state-of-the-art clubhouse, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff, all provided the perfect backdrop for this exceptional day of golf. Participants and guests alike have unanimously praised the event, dubbing it "SBH Scotland’s best golf day yet."

The competition on the course was fierce, with players demonstrating their skills and sportsmanship throughout the day. The coveted Nearest the Pin prize was claimed by Jonny Riley, while Craig Sloan's impressive drive earned him the title of Longest Drive champion.

In a closely contested second place was Grant's Foods, captained by John Fallon, and rounding out the top three was The Fantastic Four, led by Alex Atkinson and Douglas McEwan. Congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding performances!

The event's post-golf activities were hosted by sports pundit, Des McKeown, who regaled attendees with captivating stories from his illustrious sporting career, adding an extra layer of humour and entertainment to the day.

SBH Scotland would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Headline Sponsors of the event, fatBuzz and VSN Sport, for their unwavering support, not just on the day of the event, but throughout the entire year. Their commitment has played an integral role in making this golf day such a resounding success.

The Annual Corporate Golf Day is not only a celebration of sporting excellence but also a testament to the importance of corporate support of our charity, which in turn allows SBH Scotland to provide social and support groups, 1-2-1 support, health check clinics and workshops amongst many other things. SBH Scotland is immensely proud of the accomplishments achieved through this event and are incredibly grateful to all the golfers who brought their best golf game as well as generosity to support charity - Thank you.

It's been a long time but the team at SBH Scotland are happy to announce dates for their annual Golf and Lunch events, both taking place in October 2021!

Last year had a devastating impact on SBH Scotland’s annual income and we hope to raise £30K through our Golf Day and We Love Lunch events in 2021 to help continue lifeline support including services co-ordinating check-ins, online groups, essential food, heating, personal care, housing and benefits developed for members during lockdown in order to reduce isolation and support better mental health and wellbeing.
