Chisholm Hunter is hitting new heights for SBH Scotland

Staff team group around big blue dinosaur pointing at skyStaff members at Chisholm Hunter are taking to the sky this September as part of an ambitious challenge to raise over £5000 for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland. The luxury jewellery brand has been supporting the charity for more than 30 years, but this is the first time that such a huge team is coming together to take part in one activity, SBH Scotland’s Zipslide the Clyde event.

25 Chisholm Hunter staff members have been inspired to take part after seeing the impact of SBH Scotland’s work in supporting families living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus across Scotland. Zipslide the Clyde offers a unique and thrilling way to see Glasgow’s cityscape whilst raising all-important funds. The challenge sees participants launched off from a crane next to Glasgow’s Riverside Museum for an exhilarating 100ft high and 1245ft long adventure.

Chisholm Hunter has been a long-standing supporter of SBH Scotland and is the headline sponsor of the charity’s annual Burns Supper, A Question of Burns. The money already raised has been used to provide personalised support to thousands of children, young people and adults across Scotland affected by the complex conditions of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. It is thanks to individuals and corporate sponsors such as Chisholm Hunter that SBH Scotland is able to ensure no one is left to cope with the effects of these disabilities on their own. As well as their generous support, Scotland’s luxury jeweller Chisholm Hunter also kindly donates glittering prizes throughout the year to all of SBH Scotland’s events.

Harry Brown, Chairman at Chisholm Hunter, said:

“Chisholm Hunter are proud to have supported SBH Scotland and the important work they do for over 30 years. We always welcome new ways to get involved and help raise funds for the charity, so I am delighted to see our sparkling team spirit literally reaching new heights with their Zipslide!”

Marc McPherson at Chisholm Hunter said: “I am so looking forward to taking part in Zipslide the Clyde alongside my colleagues! I am a little nervous about heights, but I am hoping once I get up there, the adrenaline will kick in and I’ll enjoy the views! I think it is a great way to challenge myself and get outside my comfort zone. Most importantly, I am excited to raise money for SBH Scotland to help them support more families across Scotland.”

Lawrence Cowan, CEO of SBH Scotland, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Chisholm Hunter for their longstanding support. Without the generosity of sponsors like Chisholm Hunter, we wouldn’t be able to make families unstoppable in life. Their positivity and dedication in raising funds align perfectly with our mission at SBH Scotland to empower all those born with these rare and complex disabilities to live life to the full.  We wish them the best of luck.”
